Daytripping With Wayre: Holiday Season Travel Style + Sale
Holiday travel season is hereeeee and with it, all the stress and uncertainty of the regular holiday season plus a sprinkle of pandemic stress [insert laugh-crying emoji here]. My plans have already changed several times – I’m currently cozied up in Cape Cod with my step-family. I was supposed to be here on Thanksgiving only but came down a few days early for a funeral. That’s holiday travel though, isn’t it? Plans are constantly changing, transforming, and moving beneath our feet – flight changes, cancellations, traffic, and family emergencies. The best we can do is make things as simple and easy as possible for ourselves and a big part of that comes down to what we wear for all that holiday travel. I fell in love with wayre’s travel-friendly clothes that are chic, sustainable, and wrinkle-resistant over the summer and it turns out, they’re ideal for holiday travel, too.

The new Jetsetter Trouser is especially good for car and plane trips. They’re super easy to wear, and basic without being boring, meaning they’ll work with a sweatshirt and sneakers for the trip, and transition easily to a more dressed-up look for any holiday festivities you have planned once you land. Plus, sizing ranges from 00 to 24, which I love. Everyone should be able to experience these comfy pants! Swap the sweatshirt for a sweater and the sneakers for a comfy pair of flats or clogs. Boom, done! The best part is there’s no need to iron, and they work perfectly for day hikes and adventures, too, meaning your suitcase can be just a little lighter. I have a pair in the regular length and a pair in the Tall length, which are perfect for covering cold ankles in the late fall temps.
And if you have holiday parties to go to, my pick would be the Roma Reversible Wrap Dress in Merlot. Not only can this dress be worn with the V in the front or back, but it’s also so gorgeous in either configuration. It’s honestly one of the easiest dresses to wear – it looks beautiful on everyone. You can see how I styled the Roma Wrap Dress here and here.
A big reason why I love wayre is the size availability - dresses range from xxs - xxxl, and pants from size 00-24 - and the colors. The pieces are so versatile and friendly for so many activities. I’ve worn the dresses for full days spent exploring new towns and on road trips, and the pants are great for hikes, travel, and the office. This holiday season is bound to be stressful as everyone finds their way back to some semblance of “normal” - or at least a version of it for 2021 – your holiday outfit shouldn’t add to that stress!
What are you wearing for the holidays? Let me know!
